At Classic Car Photography we love classic Falcons, and Unique Cars has just listed a 1971 Ford Falcon XY for sale on its website, which is described as a Group C car.
Here’s what the advert has to say about this car:
This vehicle has been built to the highest engineering standard for reliability, safety and speed as proven in its one and only competition event (Targa Adelaide 2008). With Mark McLaughlin 500 RW/HP 351 – 4 bolt Cleveland engine, 3 stage Peterson dry sump pump, 4BBL Double pumper Holley, PWR Radiator, MDS 6AL Ignition, NASCAR Jerico gearbox, twin plate clutch, 6 spot front and 4 spot rear Harrop brakes, Bilstein adjustable shocks, 9″ diff, fully floating axles, Tilton pedal box, Electric power steering, Hydraulic handbrake, Terratrip, 245/45Z R17′ Advans, 120 litre fuel + + all cost over 140k
Now those are pretty impressive specs and overall it’s a pretty impressive looking car. It’s a pity that we don’t know how it actually went in the Targa Adelaide event or what it’s been doing since, but obviously any prospective purchasers can contact the owner with these and other questions they might have.
