Some very highly desirable American Classics will feature at Shannons Melbourne Spring Classic Auction on September 25 2017.
Of course there are lot more than just American Classics on offer. There is a total of 81 lots including cars, motorcycles, automobilia and number plates. But for now, let’s just concentrate on some beautiful American Classics that will be available.
This stunning and ultra-desirable Shelby (Mustang) GT500 fitted with many factory options is expected to sell in the $250,000-$280,000 range.
Delivered in Colorado in April 28, 1967, the left-hand drive Brittany Blue with black trim Shelby (production number 01788) is fitted with many factory extras, including a shoulder harness, an extra cooling package, power disc brakes and power steering.
The Shelby was apparently stored for almost a decade by its first owner before arriving in Australia nearly 15 years ago. It was fully restored to a high standard in 2004 and since early 2008 has formed part of a large collection belonging to a Melbourne enthusiast.
This superbly-restored LHD 1957 Chevrolet Belair Pillarless Sports Coupe is expected to sell in the $75,000-$85,000 range.
This very desirable pillarless hardtop fitted with a factory 283-cid V8 paired with the model’s two-speed Powerglide transmission. It was restored in Texas in the mid-1990s to a high standard, before being sourced by a Victorian collector and brought to Australia around 12 years ago
Finished in the model’s hero colours of Turquoise with duo-tone blue/black vinyl/cloth upholstery, the Belair is equipped with the rare factory four-barrel ‘Power Pack’ option, air conditioning and power steering, making it a very useable and crowd-stopping classic.
This head-turning, modified 1956 Chevrolet Pick-Up running a small-block 350-cid V8 with automatic transmission, the Chevrolet boasts numerous mechanical and cosmetic upgrades, including custom 22-inch alloy wheels and a modern sound system. This head-turning, customised classic to sell in the $42,000 – $48,000 range.
Very exciting for Chevrolet Corvette enthusiasts will be the opportunity to acquire an ultra-desirable, correctly-restored 1954 model C1 is one of few second-year Corvettes in Australia and is expected to sell in the $100,000-$115,000 range.
This ready-to-enjoy, restored late C1 series 1961 Corvette Roadster in stylish black with white scallops and chrome wire wheels is expected to sell in the $95,000-$115,000 range.
Guaranteed to turn heads, this nicely-refurbished and mechanically up-graded RHD 1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible is expected to bring $25,000-$35,000.
