Classic Car Photography went along to Caribbean Gardens on Sunday 21st October 2012 to check out the Chryslers at Caribbean display day organised by the Chrysler Restorers Club of Australia – Vic.
It was the biggest car show with the most cars that I had seen at Caribbean Gardens for a long time with over 200 Chryslers in attendance. The organisers started off well organised with areas set aside for each of the various judging classes but the cars just kept coming and the occupied area just kept getting bigger and bigger and cars ended up where-ever they could fit – the judges must have loved that!
The Chrysler stable incorporates a number of well known auto marques, including:
- De Soto
- and others
Apart from the general attractions at Caribbean Gardens, organisers arranged for live music as well.
With such a range of cars available, it is not surprising that the judges were kept busy selecting winners for a range of prizes.
Not all of the cars on display were classics. There was a red Dodge Viper on display as well as a good selection of Chrysler 300Cs and Chrysler P/T Cruisers.
Of course it isn’t possible to include photos of every car on display but it is fair to say that American Muscle Cars were numerous.
And of course there were quite a few Australian classics and muscle cars there as well.
