A Ferrari 458 GT3 (red of course) conducted a spectacular and expensive car parking exercise at the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships, VSCRC at Sandown International Raceway on Sunday 19th May 2013.
The beautifully prepared and not inexpensive Ferrari was competing in the Sports Car class as part of the VSCRC two day event. It was doing extremely well; finishing 2nd, 1st and 1st in the first three races before experiencing an issue at turn 13 in the 4th race in class for the event.
Fortunately the driver was OK, but the race was cut short. Overall, despite the expensive car parking in front of the pits, the Ferrari still came 6th overall in its class for the event.
Congratulations to the MG Car Club and the flaggies, safety and recovery people for the great way that they all responded to the situation.
