The MSCA events calendar has been revised for the rest of the 2015 season. In large part this is due to adverse feedback following the last event at Calder Raceway.
Here’s a brief summary of the results of the survey sent out to actual competitors at the MSCA Calder event:
- Overall people were happy with the day and many commented how well the MSCA and its volunteers handled the day and the difficulties presented.
- Whilst people were happy with the day the majority of adverse comments focus on the compromises that had to be made to the track layout and the track condition.
- Catering was also mentioned as an issue.
- A significant proportion of attendees were not sure that they would return to another MSCA Calder event
Based on the results of the survey the MSCA will not be holding the second scheduled Calder event which was set for 17th May.
This year has been particularly difficult for the MSCA due to track availability. However, the MSCA events calendar for 2015 now includes another Phillip Island date. Also they have been able to include a Motorkhana course for the Sprint event at Winton on Sunday November 1st. This is included in the price of the event, will not count towards the event points but will offer added variety on the day and reduce the wait time between sprints (more details will be issued nearer the event).
The revised MSCA events calendar is shown above and can be found at www.msca.net.au/events.php.
